Maasai beadwork is a cultural practice with great importance and symbolism to the community of East Africa. The tradition dates back hundreds of years. Each colour holds a special meaning: red signifies blood, bravery, and unity. White represents health, peace, and purity. Blue is the colour of the sky and represents energy, and green is the colour of grass, which signifies the land and production. Black represents the people and the struggle they must endure. Yellow symbolizes the sun, fertility, and growth, and orange represents warmth, generosity, and friendship.
As with any handmade product, the engraving may have imperfections which form part of the unique character of handmade items. Please note that colours may vary slightly due to the colour display settings of your screen and photography lighting.
